President of Bridgton & Rumford Hospitals and CMH’s long-term care division
Peter J. Wright, FACHE, is president of Bridgton & Rumford Hospitals and CMH’s long-term care division. He joined CMH in March 2019 after serving for six years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health as president and CEO at Valley Regional Healthcare in Claremont, New Hampshire. His entire career has been spent in northern New England. Prior to Valley Regional, Mr. Wright served as chief operating officer at Littleton (NH) Regional Hospital; and Senior Director of Planning, Development, and Medical Group Operations at Copley Health Systems in Morrisville, Vermont. Prior to his career in healthcare, Mr. Wright enjoyed success in the resort industry, law enforcement and numismatics.
Mr. Wright earned his bachelor of science in business administration from Lyndon State College (VT), his master of science in administration from St. Michael’s College (VT), and his master of health care delivery science from the Tuck School of Business/Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College (NH). He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association and is the Chair of AHA’s regional policy board for New England. Mr. Wright is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has been a member of Rotary International since 2003 and a former Trustee of the Vermont State Colleges.
