Bridgton Hospital offers a wound care clinic to outpatients. We treat patients with wounds caused by chronic diseases such as diabetes or peripheral vascular disease (PAD). We also treat wounds resulting from trauma.
Our wound care nurse works with primary care physicians and specialists to assist patients with evaluating and monitoring wounds, fistulas, pressure sores, skin breakdown, incontinence and ostomy care.
We provide a variety of treatment methods to help heal wounds including: debridement, wound vacs, skin grafts, Dermagrafts®. Apligrafs® and other procedures. Patients need a primary care physician's or specialist's referral to receive wound care services.
The clinic is staffed by director Dr. Narshima Swamy. Wound care nurse Karen Harding is also available by appointment.
To make an appointment, call 207-647-6120 Monday through Friday. Wound care appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and also on holidays and weekends.
