The Evergreen Sports Medicine Fellowship meets all ACGME accreditation requirements by providing full-spectrum experiential and didactic training in sports medicine in six competency areas in a variety of settings. (FMI about competency areas:

The Clinical Program

Fellowship training begins on July 1 or on flexible start dates for off-cycle residents. The program takes place at local sites, including: local high schools and colleges, physical therapy offices, orthopedic offices and various levels of amateur, semi-professional and professional level sporting events, Longitudinal supervision is provided by the Sports Medicine interdisciplinary faculty.


Fellows participate in a variety of didactic conferences and regional and national conferences including NEACSM, AMMSM, and ACSM, and are expected to present clinical cases at each conference at a minimum.
