CMHA Provides Cardiac Care to Adults

Central Maine Heart Associates (CMHA) provides cardiology care to adults (patients over 18).

We help patients with:

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Congestive heart failure
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia)
  • Heartbeat disturbances (arrhythmia)
  • Pacemaker
  • Trans-telephonic pacemaker and automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ACID) checks
  • Anticoagulation management
  • Valvular heart disease
  • Pre-operative clearance

Group Practice

Central Maine Heart Associates is a group practice that works with CMHVI; a care provider is available at all times to meet patient healthcare needs.


Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. Please call 207-753-3900 to make an appointment. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call and let us know as soon as possible. A 24-hour notice is appreciated.

We strive to honor our patients’ appointment times, but emergency situations occasionally arise and create delays. We appreciate your patience on these occasions.

  • Visit reminders
  • Bring all of your medicines (in the original containers)
  • Bring your insurance cards
  • Bring your co-pay or deductible at the time of the visit

Laboratory, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine

Central Maine Heart Associates routinely reports the results of all laboratory, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine services to our patients. If you do not hear from the office by phone or by mail within 14-21 days following your testing, please contact the office.

Telephone Advise or Questions - Patients can call the office with non-emergency calls between 8 AM – 5 PM. We try to return all patient calls by the end of the day.

Offices open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Emergencies  - For any life-threatening emergency, always call 911!

In the case of a non-life threatening emergency, patients can contact the office any time by calling 753-3900.

CMHA's answering service connects patients with the practice's on-call physician for after-hours emergencies


  • Patients should ask their pharmacy to check with CMHA about a refill.
  • Patients are asked to plan ahead so they don't run out of medication.
  • Patients calling CMHA for a refill are asked to have the phone number of the pharmacy ready.
  • Routine prescriptions are filled within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Medications will not be refilled after-hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
