Two students from the Clark F. Miller Radiologic Technology Program at Maine College of Health Professions won a top academic award at the annual meeting of the Maine Society of Radiologic Technologists earlier this month.
Jennifer Brown of Freeport and Kendra Kirby of South Portland, senior radiography students, won first place and $300 in the MSRT Student Scientific Exhibit Contest for their exhibit on Digital Radiography.
The awards were presented May 12 at the Maine Society of Radiologic Technologists’ annual conference in Augusta. The contest is open to all students enrolled in radiology science programs in Maine.
The MCHP Radiologic Technology Program was founded by the late Clark F. Miller, M.D., in 1949. It was the first program of its kind in Maine. Students take courses at the College in Lewiston, and complete clinical rotations at healthcare facilities throughout central and southern Maine.
