Everyday primary care—treatment for everything from the flu to sports physicals—will be more accessible to the Lakes Region community with a new walk-in clinic, Central Maine Healthcare announced today.
North Bridgton Family Practice & Walk-In Clinic will offer quick and easy access to primary care and lab draw services. This site will operate as a complementary service in the established North Bridgton Family Practice location at 14 Wyonegonic Road and will open Feb. 15.
“We heard from the community that access to primary care was their most important healthcare concern,” said Jeff Brickman, President & CEO of Central Maine Healthcare. “And we know that the community wants same-day options, without having to wait for an appointment or make an expensive visit to the ER. This is a big step toward meeting those needs.”
The North Bridgton Family Practice & Walk-In Clinic will be open from 8AM – 5PM, Monday through Saturday (closed on Sundays) to provide quick and easy access to primary care and diagnostic lab draw services. Patients will not need to have an existing relationship with the practice, Bridgton Hospital or CMH in order to use this service, and unlike the previous “walk-in clinic/urgent care” at Bridgton Hospital, this is not a fast-track ED; services will be billed at a practice visit level which is significantly lower than an emergency room visit.
More accessible care options are forthcoming in the Lakes Region, according to CMH.
