CMMC Executive Chef Patrick Hodsdon’s latest creation—a juicy, piled-high burger whose “secret sauce” blends mayonnaise and Worcestershire—tastes so good that Sodexo has recognized him on a national level. This week his winning recipe was rolled out for Sodexo cafes nationwide, and will be offered at select locations across the country for a limited time. It is featured on Sodexo’s “Love of Food” website.
The Steakhouse Burger, which includes onions, cheese and bacon along with the killer sauce, was offered at the CMMC cafeteria twice this week and will be available again in coming weeks for anyone wanting to sample what Hodsdon calls the “classic flavor profile of a steak house.” He serves it on a toasted brioche bun and likes salt-and-vinegar fries on the side.
“I love burgers with big bold flavors and diverse textures,” Hodsdon said. “Burgers are a comfort food for many of us, and therefore they allow for a great amount of creativity, while being rooted in something we know and love.”
Hodsdon grew up eating his mother’s home cooking—delicious comfort food—and early on was inspired to be a culinary professional, he said. He’s been at CMMC since 2013. In one way, it’s full-circle for the chef. He was born at the hospital!
“Being a member of the local community, I work hard to provide a great meal to the people who work here and for our patients, every day,” he said.
