Where I see patients
"I first considered medicine while in high school. I was very interested in human anatomy and physiology which led me to pursue medicine in college. Throughout medical school I knew I wanted to pursue a surgical specialty. I had a military scholarship so shortly after completion of my internship I served on active-duty. After working with fighter pilots in the military as a flight surgeon, it became clear that caring for them is similar to caring for elite athletes and I wanted to pursue a surgical practice where I could help patients return to work/play/function after injury."
