Bridgton Hospital is proud to announce Randy Morrissette, RN, has been selected as the recipient of the Winnie Moore Award which recognizes outstanding clinical nursing excellence.
The Winnie Moore Award honors a single Bridgton Hospital nurse whose dedication, professionalism and commitment to patient care exemplies the highest standards of nursing practice.
The award is named in honor of Winnie Moore, who devoted most of her nursing career to serving the Bridgton community. Moore worked as a nurse at Northern Cumberland Memorial Hospital, which later became Bridgton Hospital, and served as the hospital’s director of nursing for 29 years. She also contributed her leadership and expertise as a member of the hospital’s board of directors.
Morrissette was selected for his exceptional commitment to patients, colleagues and the broader Lakes Region community. He consistently demonstrates the qualities that define outstanding nursing leadership: compassion, dedication, teamwork and a willingness to go above and beyond to support those around him.
Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to supporting his team, Morrissette frequently volunteers to work additional shifts and routinely rounds on nursing staff throughout the night, offering guidance, encouragement and assistance whenever needed. His visible presence and hands-on approach foster a culture of trust, collaboration and mutual support, ensuring staff members know they can rely on his expertise regardless of the challenges they face during their shifts.
“Randy exemplifies the very best of nursing excellence and leadership,” said Stephany Jacques, president of Bridgton Hospital. “His unwavering commitment to providing exceptional patient care, supporting his colleagues and strengthening our culture of teamwork makes him truly deserving of the Winnie Moore Award. Randy leads by example every day through his compassion, professionalism and dedication to serving our community.”
