Diagnostic Testing

Vascular Surgery
One day a month, Bridgton Hospital provides vascular services for patients experiencing vascular conditions. Services are provided by a Central Maine Medical Group vascular surgeon. Our vascular surgery clinic offers diagnosis and treatment services for abdominal aortic aneurysm, cerebrovascular disease, carotid artery stenosis, peripheral arterial disease, renovascular hypertension, mesenteric artery disease, varicose veins, spider veins and lower extremity aneurysms. Pulmonary Function Tests
If as part of your heart or vascular treatment you require tests that measure how well your lungs use oxygen, Bridgton Hospital offers pulmonary function (spirometry or lung volume) tests. For information call 207-647-6146.
Diabetes Education
Heart disease and diabetes share common risk factors, and similar lifestyle changes, such as improving diet, help both. Bridgton Hospital offers diabetes patients a Self-Management Training Program, an educational program that can help diabetes patients live a healthier life. Our Certified Diabetes Educator teaches the eight-hour course four times a year. Guest speakers include a pharmacist, eye doctor and an occupational therapist.
