The Manchester Care Center We recently changed our location and name from Augusta Internal Medicine to Manchester Care Center.
At this new location, we are offering on-site lab services Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in addition to our regular services.
Primary care is your first line of defense against day-to-day illnesses and chronic conditions. Think of it like an ongoing maintenance program for your body and your health – the same way you think of spring cleaning for your home or oil changes for your car.

Whether you have the flu, your child has an ear infection, or your parent needs help managing ongoing pain, we’ve got you covered.
Many of our providers live right in the Lewiston, Bridgton, Rumford, Topsham and surrounding areas we serve. As your neighbor, we have a personal interest in your well-being and that of our community.
If your primary care provider determines you need an evaluation by specialist like a cardiologist or neurologist, they can refer you to one within our integrated health system. This streamlines your treatment, adds convenience and ease to your appointments and ensures you receive the same high-quality care at every step.
Central Maine Healthcare has many primary care providers who are DOs, or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine. DOs focus on prevention by gaining a deeper understanding of your lifestyle and environment, rather than just treating your symptoms. DOs are trained to promote the body’s natural tendency toward health and self-healing. We practice according to the latest science and use the latest technology. But we also consider options to complement pharmaceuticals and surgery. We have additional training in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) and use this tool to help diagnose, treat and prevent illness and injury. This is form of manual, or hands-on therapy that helps patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as neck, back and hip pain to name a few.
Most of our providers are accepting new patients and offer extended evening and weekend hours, as well as telehealth services.

We understand what it takes to keep women well. Our specialized services include well-woman visits, pelvic and breast exams, counseling for hormonal and menopausal issues, Pap smears, routine gynecological care and healthy support for your busy life.
We provide the full spectrum of men’s health care, including the prevention and treatment of diabetes, high-blood pressure and cholesterol disorders, as well as fitness and dietary counseling, annual physicals, prostate care, testosterone replacement and more.
Some surgical procedures are so minor they can be done right in the office. Whether it’s the incision of an abscess, joint injections or stitches for a small laceration, our internists specialize in performing these procedures quickly and expertly — without anesthesia or a hospital stay.
From the flu to strep throat, acute illnesses are one of the most common reasons people see our internists. We can provide you with treatment instructions and/or antibiotics, so you can regain your health as soon as possible.
Considered the best screening method for colon cancer, colonoscopies allow internists to see inside the colon, identify risky polyps and remove them. A biopsy of the removed polyp can confirm whether the polyp is cancerous and prevent the disease from spreading.

Rumford Hospital is a 25-bed, not-for-profit critical access hospital (CAH), offering inpatient and outpatient services to the River Valley community. CMMC provides 24-hour emergency care, a state-of-the-art Cancer Care Center, an award-winning stroke center and extensive specialized care. CMMC is also the southern Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state’s only medical helicopter service.
Bridgton Hospital is a 25-bed, not-for-profit critical access hospital (CAH) that serves the people of western Maine. Founded in 1917, Bridgton Hospital provides 24-hour emergency services and features medical and surgical services, intensive care and a variety of other services including oncology, hematology, podiatry, orthopedics, cardiology and diabetes education. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services with a full-service lab and a radiology department boasting 3D mammography, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI.
