When you are recovering from an illness or an injury, getting back to your life as quickly and safely as possible is your highest priority. That is why the Rehabilitation and Therapy team at Central Maine Healthcare is dedicated to working with you every step of the way.
We work with inpatients, helping them make strides in their recovery before they go home, as well as recently discharged patients who need assistance transitioning back to daily life. We also work with patients in our clinics who need to overcome physical, speech or occupational limitations.
Our providers have experience working with patients of all ages to help them develop the skills and abilities they need to enjoy life to the fullest.
Rehab and Therapy Services Available at CMH
Our inpatient and outpatient Rehab and Therapy services include:
- Physical therapy to help patients improve movement, limit pain, restore function and overcome disability-related physical challenges
- Occupational therapy that enables adults and children to perform daily activities
- Speech therapy to improve patients’ ability to communicate and, in some cases, eat and drink successfully
- Swing bed services, which allow patients to receive skilled nursing care while in a CMH hospital
