The Woman’s Hospital Association is a fund-raising and service organization The Woman’s Hospital Association is a fund-raising and service organization that helps CMMC meet the healthcare needs of the people in our communities.
The organization’s major fund-raising source is the WHA Gift Shop which is on the hospital’s ground floor. The gift shop is filled with great cards, flowers and items intended to bring cheer and comfort to hospitalized patients.
The WHA also raises money for CMMC with events inducing the Tree of Love, the Holiday Bake Sale, the Spring Bazaar, the annual Art Show and the Memory MUMS Project.
WHA services include the Rotating Art Gallery, which features works by area artists. An especially popular service is The Baby Photo Program, which provides a free newborn photo service for families.

Memory MUMS Project
The Woman’s Hospital Association is proud to announce the 5th Annual Memory Mums Project fund-raiser to help patients who are dealing with cancer. In honor of Amanda Dempsey, mother of actor Patrick Dempsey, Founder of the Dempsey Center, we created the “Memory Mums” project to benefit three cancer-related services at CMMC. The three services are The Dempsey Center’s Maine Fund for Cancer Patients, The Cancer Immediate Needs Fund at the Cynthia Rydholm Center and The Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center’s Patients’ Needs Fund.
