Audiology Associates of Central Maine

The audiology department works closely with Central Maine ENT Head and Neck Surgery to provide optimal care for its patients. Audiology is a clinical specialty focused on the diagnosis of hearing and balance related disorders. The audiology department will be providing comprehensive audiologic care for our pediatric and adult patients with:

• Hearing loss
• Tinnitus
• Newborn hearing evaluations
• Chronic ear infections and other ear disorders Dizziness and vertigo
• Dizziness and vertigo

Diagnostic Testing

• Otoscopy
• Air and bone conduction threshold testing
• Word recognition and speech testing
• Tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing
• Visual reinforcement audiometry (pediatrics)
• Conditioned play audiometry (pediatrics)
• Distortion product otoacoustic emissions
• Auditory brainstem response testing (pediatrics and adults)
• Electrocochleography
• Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials
• Videonystagmography (for dizziness)
