Central Maine Medical Center’s (CMMC) Family Medicine Residency recognized six third-year family medicine residents and six fellows at their recent graduation program on Friday, June 23, 2017. Honored at the commencement exercises were family physicians: (Seated, Front Row, Left to Right) Frank “Zach” Mazone DO, Shayna Shackford DO, Ben Kamin MD, Nupur Nagrare MD, Clare Alexander MD, and Tony Chan MD.)
Donald “Raj” Woolever, MD, Program Director, gave the welcome address with Deborah Taylor, PhD, serving as graduation mistress of ceremonies. In attendance were Family Medicine Residency faculty, residents and residency staff, hospital- and office-based CMMC physician teachers, family doctors who serve in the Family Medicine Center as preceptors for residents and medical students, as well as graduating residents’ families and special invited guests.
William Lee, MD, Chief – Division of Primary Care, was invited to speak on behalf of the CMMC Administration.

Bruce Johnson Award – Mike Moffatt, MD. The Dr. Bruce Johnson Residency Teacher of the Year Award honors the physician who, as voted by the graduating senior residents, made the most outstanding contribution to their Family Medicine Residency education.
