I chose to pursue a family medicine residency at Central Maine Medical Center because of the exceptional training opportunities and the hospital's commitment to serving the local community. I feel the program offers a diverse patient population, including urban, rural, and underserved communities. Working with the Lewiston community allows me to gain invaluable experience in managing a wide range of medical conditions. During my interview and interactions with the current residents, I was impressed by their intelligence, dedication, and collegiality. The sense of camaraderie and support within the resident community was palpable, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment. The opportunity to work alongside such talented individuals is invaluable and fosters a collaborative atmosphere that enhances the learning experience and encourages professional growth.
