Urology Care and Services
Rumford Hospital hosts the services of Central Maine Urology on the first Tuesday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Urology includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the male and female urinary tract and also the male reproductive organs.
Urologists treat the following problems:
- urinary tract infections
- incontinence
- injuries
- kidney stones
- congenital abnormalities
- bladder and prostate conditions, including cancer
Treatments include medications, surgical procedures and physical therapy.
Patients are urged to discuss urology-related concerns with their primary care provider to see if a referral to a urologist would be beneficial.
