Diagnostic Procedures

Rumford Hospital is pleased to be able to offer residents of western Maine many diagnostic procedures.

Our busy and up-to-date Medical Imaging Department performs a wide variety of diagnostic services, such as X-rays, fluoroscopies, multi-slice CT scans, bone density scans, mammograms and ultrasounds. All the imaging is done digitally, which makes your results easily accessible and transferable, if needed. We now offer a mobile MRI service every Tuesday.

We also offer a range of cardiac diagnostic tests, plus colonoscopies and lab testing.

As part of Central Maine Healthcare, we have access to many diagnostic resources at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and at Bridgton Hospital, Topsham Care Center, as well as the mobile MRI that travels to Rumford to support our facilities top-line imaging services.

Through our Specialty Services program, we also bring high-level practitioner care to the hospital. We strive to offer our communities the best in care — close to home.
