An integrated healthcare delivery system, Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) serves 400,000 people in the central, western, and mid-coast regions of the state. Central Maine Medical Center
Central Maine Medical Center, located in Lewiston, is a resource hospital for healthcare providers in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties and the surrounding region. Supported by the latest technologies, CMMC’s skilled professionals provide outstanding care delivered with compassion, kindness and understanding.
CMMC’s “Centers of Excellence” include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Trauma Services Program. CMMC is also the southern Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state’s only medical helicopter service.
Bridgton Hospital
Bridgton Hospital serves some 21 communities in western Maine and the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. The hospital features all private inpatient rooms and supports inpatient and outpatient surgery, a full service laboratory, and a medical imaging department.
The hospital’s outpatient clinics, some offered in cooperation with Central Maine Medical Center, serve patients whose needs include oncology/hematology, podiatry, diabetes education, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, and wound care services. The Swing Bed Program provides care for patients who need skilled nursing services.
Rumford Hospital
Rumford Hospital provides River Valley residents with local access to a wide array of healthcare services, including comprehensive primary care, sophisticated diagnostic and medical-surgical nursing services, a birthing center, women’s health, and ambulatory surgery. The Swing Bed program provides care for patients who need skilled nursing services.
Through its affiliation with Central Maine Medical Center, RH hosts clinics with physicians in a number of specialties. The hospital also offers an array of education and wellness and prevention services.
Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute
The Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute is dedicated to improving the cardiovascular health of those it serves with a comprehensive advanced cardiovascular care program.
The services provided by CMHVI include an integrated outreach and primary prevention program, comprehensive diagnostic services, cardiac interventional and rehabilitation services and cardiovascular education and research. CMHVI’s Single-Stay Unit provides a nurturing environment that enhances the care continuum for all inpatients and places patients and families first.
Maine College of Health Professions
The Maine College of Health Professions (MCHP) offers a variety of associate degree programs including Nursing, Radiologic Technology and Nuclear Medicine, as well as a Certificate Program in Computed Tomography. The College also offers general education courses required to complete these programs.
Central Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program
For more than 30 years the Central Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program has offered family physicians a training experience in an intellectually stimulating and emotionally supportive environment.
The program’s training opportunities include rural full scope family medicine, women’s health, international medicine, integrative medicine, osteopathic manipulation, sports medicine, and wilderness medicine.
The program’s innovative Family Medicine Center, as well as Central Maine Medical Center and its affiliated hospitals, serve as the locations for direct patient care.

The Topsham Care Center is the first of its kind in the state of Maine. Patients want – and have come to expect – quality care in a space that is convenient and inviting. Patients have access to a more affordable option for services outside the hospital setting as well as Urgent Care for non-life-threatening illness and injuries.
