Palliative Care

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is a team approach to improving the quality of a seriously ill person's life and supporting the patient and his/her family during and after treatment.

Palliative caregivers work to address the physical, emotional and spiritual issues that can arise during a serious illness.
Central Maine Medical Center works hard to offer patients the best in palliative care. Our palliative care program is registered in the National Palliative Care Registry™.
